If you’re wondering what Matt and Minnow are up to now, they are on a marathon mission to build the life of their dreams. It’s a unique and unified vision that they have felt called to achieve as a couple from the beginning—to live their values, cultivate natural abundance, and demonstrate the beauty and joy of stewarding the land for future generations.

On their new land in Tunbridge, Vermont, walking distance to Minnow’s parents in East Randolph, they are starting a diversified organic farm where they’ll grow food for their community, offer workshops in agroforestry, permaculture, and natural crafts, host WWOOFers, and spread the good word about living in harmony with the earth and all its creatures.

Meanwhile, a great stroke of luck (and Minnow’s cousin Jada) brought an historic 1700s house from Hampstead, NH, into their hands, saving it from demolition. With the help of the NH Preservation Alliance, they have dismantled it and moved the pieces to a friend’s barn in VT. They are selling Minnow’s house in NY, applying for grants, and gathering resources to strip lead paint, log and excavate the site, set the foundation, and have their talented timber framer friends and masons carefully rebuild Hampstead House on their land. A barn for all their animals, hay, and harvest is next, along with a hopeful farm store/cafe.

This fall they will be moving Matt’s farm from Winterfound to Minnow’s sister’s in Randolph temporarily, allowing them to live near the new land as they build and start working the soil at Long Light Farm.

Your support during this wild time means the world! Matt and Minnow’s specific needs and their love of handcrafts, natural materials, and unique farm items might make their registry a little odd, but don’t feel limited by this. They would also very gratefully accept gifts in the form of something you make, a check for their building fund, or help with the wedding or any of their projects (as many of you have already been giving!), but your presence is truly more than enough.
